Nitinol transseptal guidewire with a sharp crossing tip that reduces penetration force versus conventional transseptal needles.
The SafeSept Transseptal Guidewire is a nitinol guidewire designed to facilitate left atrial access by crossing the interatrial septum at the fossa ovalis with reduced force compared with conventional transseptal needles. Its sharp tip perforates the membranous septum, then forms a protective J shape once unsupported, guarding against further tissue penetration.
